The Hilton is adjacent to the convention center.

They are currently offering a rate of $139 per night for a Democratic Party event with a small block of rooms (15), so it should be possible to get a good rate for a much larger event.

There are thousands of additional hotel rooms within easy walking distance of the Austin Convention Center. These include the Marriott, the Residence Inn, the Courtyard Marriott, the Hilton Garden Inn, La Quinta, the Four Seasons, the Omni, the Radisson, the Sheraton, the Hampton Inn, the Holiday Inn, the Driskill, and the Stephen F. Austin Intercontinental. And there are even more just south of Lady Bird Lake (e.g., Hyatt Regency, Embassy Suites.) Many hotels not in the shadow of the Convention Center are easily accessible via free 'Dillos, open-air trolleys.
